Two Hands

Happiest Birthday to my two babies! I still can't believe that it has been 6 years. I remember that day like it was yesterday. There are still sounds, smells, and tastes that bring back a flood of memories. You have grown so much!
I have to say that this birthday hit me pretty hard as we took your birthday photos at the time you were born. I realized you have to now but up two hands to show your age. Seems like a little thing, but it got me chocked up.
I am so proud of you both! I learn so much everyday from each one of you. I love to see you both discover and learn new things. I love when you like to scientists and make discoveries and who knew how many Star Wars characters there could be? Em your take charge and motherly instincts is sweet to see. I love how you love to strike a pose and you love all things girly. You both love to giggle and love the Bulldogs. You two know how to push each other's buttons but also can be the best of friends. I wish it was the best of friends more often then the other, but I think in time that will change.
I find myself so incredibly blessed every day that I get to be your Mommy. I love that you both like to snuggle, bed time stories, and you both can't sleep without saying our special good night prayers together. I love you both so much, but can you please slow down this growing up thing?

Nights in SunRiver

As much as I love the daytime here I LOVE the night time. We would hang out listen to music, play games, cards, and almost nightly took a bike ride to the village for ice cream. One night we has movie night in our backyard and we treated the kids to mibature golf where Emmeline got a hole in one. And I can't forget the nights were always good for a drink or two or three.

Keeping Busy

We are staying busy in SunRiver and keeping the tooth fairy busy! Today we went to High Desert Museum. It was an amazing indoor outdoor museum. We happened to meet up with Uncle Dick and Uncle Steve's crew. The kids had a blast climbing, digging, and looking at all sorts of desert animals. Jackson and Emmeline touched a snake and I almost fainted!
The kids had a blast at an indoor kids exhibit. The moms were dying due to try shared costumes.
Caden and Emmeline had a great time at the otter display and rapture show. It was amazing they flew right over our head.
The museum was AWESOME! it was a bummer that we had to leave due to a rain, thunder, and lightening. But on the way to a dry activity Caden lost his tooth! So exciting!!!! Tooth Fairy will be coming again!

The SHARC

After a long couple days of bike rides it was time to start the day off relaxing. In the afternoons we have been going to the pool or The SHARC but today we decided to start their. The kids has fun with the DeTars, Metchos, and The Nash Family. We even got to have some fun with a summer college league team from Bend.

Cousins

After a long day of fun in the sun we enjoyed some down time and a nice dinner with Uncle Steve, Marsha, and their sweet girls. We all enjoyed a great meal, some wine, and great conversation. It was fun to see the kids play together. They had a blast at the park and followed it up with all sorts of fun at our house. I hope we can get then together again soon.

Ride to the Falls

Because I like to be punished and I have been snacking nonstop on this trip we decided to do another long bike ride to the falls. I'm glad we talked to some locals that told us to ignore the road closed sign and that they reassured us the trail was safe for kids and bike trailers. It was long 45 minute ride but worth every minute!

Ride to the River

We are loving the lazy pace of life and enjoying eating crazy like pancakes daily for breakfast, but it was time for some excerise. We loaded the kids up in the bike trailers and took a ride to the River and rode the back side of the community. On the way back Emmeline was eating her fruit leather and her very loose tooth came out! She was great and sooo excited! She couldn't wait to show someone her new space in her mouth and I was super thankful I brought the tooth fairy pillows!

Fly fishing

After a great night sleep we woke up and were ready to explore Sun River. Daddy and Uncle Gabe headed out early for a fly fishing trip which included a rattle snake spotting RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM  and a few fish on the line that didn't come home with them. Since the guys were off fishing we explored our circle and took the kids to the park. The park is so close to our house that it's awesome. We can quickly walk there and even run home if one of the kids needs to use the restroom. That is huge bonus that we won't be using the out houses this year!!!

11 Lark

After a very LONG early morning drive we made it to Sun River with plenty of room in the van.
It was comical! We stopped in Bend for a fun lunch and some park time before heading to our house. I vote for a day in Bend next year.
The house is beautiful and even better the DeTars are right next door and the park is a 2 minute walk from our backyard. I fell in love with the location of this house. After a long day we did a quick bike ride around our circle and headed in to unpack and have dinner. So excited for our week ahead!

Happy Birthday Gram

Tonight we headed over to Uncle J and Aunt Cory's house to celebrate a pretty special person's birthday, our Gram! The kids were so excited for a birthday party! The food was amazing and delicious and Cory did an amazing job setting up a beautiful dinner. The kids were so excited that Baby Jacob was there. Emmeline calls him her little cutie wootie and Jackson talks like a baby and goes up and hands him toys so nicely. I'm still a little nervous when I see Jackson around babies, but I think we have turned a corner.
We managed to get all the great grandbabies in one area for a picture. I wish I could say they were all happy and all looking the same place, but lets be realistic that will probably never happen.
A very Happy Birthday to our Amazing Gram!!! She makes a mean pot of sauce and meatballs (so thankful I was able to spend the afternoon with her to learn the secret recipe) and a famous ice cream pie that Caden dreams about, and spoils us all rotten. We love you Gram!!!

Opening Night Parade

Tonight was opening night for tee ball. There was a sweet little parade of teams followed by a team building BBQ. Let's go Red Riders!
