1 Alarm Breakfast

We are so lucky to have a such a great fire department in our city. Last year we had a winning bid for breakfast at the fire station followed by a ride to school in a fire truck!!! Awesome, right??? We decided to save it for Jackson's birthday present from us. We lucked out and was able to schedule it at Station 71 with Captain Purnell's crew. They did an amazing job cooking a delicious breakfast. The kids loved the tour of the station and getting to use some of the gear. Emmeline became a paramedic and practiced taking our vitals. The highlight was hearing over the city wide radio system having the dispatcher welcome us to 71 and then they announced there was a "fire" at Alamo school. The kids got to see how fast they clear out of the dining room and head to the trucks. All three kids were able to ride to school and they even had a chance to "put out the fire" in front of some of their classmates. It was a special morning - one I hope they never forget.

Lil Ninja

Oh my... my part time work is really feeling like a full time job this year. I am going to try an not complain because I love my job and the staff I work with so much, but it has made it tricky for me to find time to blog. And the fact that Apple has not updated the Blogger app is killing me. I am just proud that I got these posted before his 7th birthday.
Well, the birthday boy wanted a Ninjago themed birthday party. It was a little hard for me to get on board, but I did. I don't know what I was thinking have a ninja party at my own house with a bunch of 5 and 6 year old boys. We had ninja stars for them to decorate and throw, chopstick competitions, pin the ninja mask on the sensei, and of course a pinata for them to karate chop. It was a crazy and fun day for a little ninja.

Two Hands

Today my baby turned 6! How can that be? He no longer can tell me or anyone else how old he is without holding up both hands. It really goes by way too fast. This big guy loves fire trucks, Legos, and Kitty Cats. He loves to read funny books and tell jokes. His probably favorite thing is being a pesky little brother. Boy does he love to drive his brother and sister crazy. He still isn't found of meat but, will eat you out of house and home of fruit, carrots, snap peas, and BREAD! One thing that hasn't changed... he loves to snuggle, cuddle, and give kisses. We love you Jackson Rocco!

Happy Valentine's Day

Last year at the school auction I most have had a little too much to drink because they reminded me that I won the marquee board for February. I could not wrap my brain around why I was bidding for February??? None of my kids have February birthdays. So breaking with Alamo tradition of posting birthdays to winning bid, we have a special Valentine's message for the Santopadre 3. Thankfully they are not too old to think this is totally embarrassing and not take a picture with it.

Lion King

Today we took the kids to see The Lion King Musical. It was AMAZING!!!! I don't think I can write enough to do it justice. From the opening act we were all on the edge of our seats in awe. The costumes were incredible like true Disney fashion. Jackson lucked out and had an amazing seat. At the opening he had an amazing antelope character next to him singing and at the beginning of the 2nd act a super talented singer was flying birds and signing. He managed to get a high five and I managed to get a death glare look from Caden because I had my camera out. In my defense the lights were not all out and she was right next to him!!!!
I hope the kids never forget this show and continue to love to go to the theater. I have so many fond memories of my parents taking me when I was young.

My Heart is Full

Yesterday and today are those days you don't want to forget. We spent most of yesterday unboxing, sorting, and organizing toys for the big Mission Solano event on Christmas Eve. Today the kids were able to see who they were helping. They saw where all the toys they donate go and saw the families they were blessing. The best part was seeing the kids in the back finding just the perfect present for the boy or girl out front. They had good eagle eyes and were on it looking for the Shopkins and Pokemon requests. It made my heart want to burst when they would up and run and tell me they found the perfect gift for them. When we left the kids saw the crowds in line to go and get a coat. It was hard for them to wrap them minds around. I hope they grow up realizing how blessed they are and continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus and serve others. I couldn't have been more proud of my tribe and all my friends helping.

Obsessed

I am kind of obsessed with my birthday present! I am having so much fun changing it up for the holidays and Instagram is a wealth of ideas. Here are two of my Christmas favorites so far. I think I may not change it until after Christmas and start working on a New Year's one.
