Today my daughter sported plaid capri pants, striped purple dress which she wore backwards, and knee-high white socks. I finally drew the line when she wanted to wear her jelly sandals in the rain. Emmeline's response, "But Mom, I just need to wear sparkles."
I am not sure if I am more saddened by how quickly I have become Mom or by how I am sure this is just beginning of the fashion wars.
