So long Tonsils and Adenoids

Today this little guy went in to have his tonsils and adenoids removed. We haven't had a lot of sore throats, but we have had a lot of lack of sleep, snoring, and colds. After reading up on a study done at Stanford on kids with night terrors and a correlation to enlarged tonsils we were on board and running to see an ENT. 

Heading into surgery he was all smiles and I wanted a few swigs of the drink they gave him. Nothing like seeing your 6 year old drunk. Oh he was a giggly thing. Hearing him crying in the hallway in recovery was heartbreaking. The doctor came in and told us we made a good call having the removed. He went in there and found them huge and emflamed. Day one post surgery I have to say hasn't been awful, but he still has pretty strong drugs in him from the hospital. I am dreading the rest of days 2-10.
