Mothers are Important

Today I was able to celebrate Mother.'s Day with Jackson at preschool. I've been serenaded in the past by the twins, but this was my first for Jack. It was so sweet. I need to find a way to upload video.
After the sweetest song he showed off the flower and card he made and a special project he did with Daddy. I loved reading his answers and learned a lot about myself! Oh sweet Jackson I love you and love that you aren't too old to cuddle and snuggle with your mommy.

Mud Day!

Today was Jackson's first Mud Day! I was so excited for him. I still have such great memories of it from when I went there. So they don't dig a hole in the ground and add the hose like they did back in the day, but they do have a lot of fun. There were body painting stations, bubbles, chalk, shaving cream, water tables, sprinklers, Popsicles, and of course MUD!!! Jackson had a blast. He wasn't a big fan of this mud and didn't go crazy. He thought it was do cool he could paint himself green like the Hulk and then run shaving cream all over to take it off. It was so much fun watching all the kids.

Sew Excited

This weekend we finished up the hang out area near the playhouse. I'm not in love with the rock, but that can be fixed. I started sewing pillow covers Saturday night and got distracted with THE FIGHT OF THE CENTURY! I left my machine out to finish up the next day and Emmeline was begging me to learn. Things have been slightly crazy at our house and when I saw how excited she was I thought it was a perfect opportunity to spend some time with her. She did great! I sat with her for most of the pillow covers, but the last two I got up and let her do most of it solo with me standing next to her. You mat see some crooked stitches if you look close, but she did amazing and was so proud of herself. Way to go Miss Em!

Tick Tock

Tonight Cinderella wrapped up! What a crazy 4 months!!! All the long hours and crazy running around to get her to practice was worth it when I saw her on the stage. I take that back it was worth it just to see her backstage taking it all in. She loved being in back with all the big girls. This week she got to practice with the "real"  Cinderella and she was in awe. She loved the understudy, but getting to see professional ballerina dance was a treat for all of us. I would catch her peaking in and just sitting and watching her.
Tonight after the show she got to go up, give her a hug, and take a picture. I have to say the professional dancer was as sweet and kind as can be. She stopped and helped Emmeline with her shoe and taught her a trick.
She was so excited after the performance to see so many people from her family their to support her. She loves the stage, the costumes, the makeup, and she shared with all of us that she LOVES the flowers you get after you perform.

Haircuts for Hayli

Today Emmeline went to Dixon to have her hair cut for a sweet little girl named Hayli. Hayli is a brave little girl that I met while I was getting my hair cut. She was just diagnosed with brain cancer. She is starting 52 weeks of chemo and radiation. She is the sweetest girl and so brave. I went home and talked to Emmeline about Kayli and about cancer. Emmeline said the sweetest prayer and asked what she could do. We decided to go down to the cut a thon and have a few inches cut off and give a donation. I can't even what the family is going through, but Hayli is in our prayers daily.

My little fish

Today we started swim lessons. They were so cute in their suits and goggles!
Two of the three were so excited and asked if they could go back tomorrow. Coach got Caden to jump in or pulled him in??? And Jackson declared it was the worst day ever and didn't want to let go of the coach. We can't wait until next week.

Celebrate

What an exciting weekend! We had a chance to celebrate a bunch of things. We started off at the pinkest and sweetest shower for Baby Hailey! We are all so excited for her upcoming arrival! I can't wait to get my baby fix!!! Next I headed to the city to celebrate this beautiful lady turning 30!
We had a fun ladies night full of lots of laughs. Although I'm practically the grandma of the group I love hanging with these girls.
Last, the kids jumped their hearts out at sweet Paige's 2nd birthday. Thankfully I got a picture of them in the photo booth before they were all sweaty.
